Our volunteers are the hands and feet of Jesus and add incredible value to the work that we do.

From pouring their hearts out and loving the individual children and youth, to being powerful voices that advocate our causes, volunteers are invaluable and are very much needed throughout our programmes.

Here’s how you can get involved

Teach Computers

Most jobs today require a certain level of competency in using computer packages, such as the Microsoft Office. We need skilled volunteers to assist our youth to acquire these important competencies and necessary entry-level IT skills. Please contact us if you are interested in assisting with this.

Clinical support

We would love to hear from you if you are an Enrolled or Professional Nurse, and you are able to assist our team with providing youth with a screening service, including blood sugar, TB, sexual health, mental health, HIV and substance use etc.

Career Guidance Centre

If you enjoy guiding and working with youth, and you have a background in HR or Life Orientation, and you feel you can add value in assisting youth with any aspect of Career Guidance, we would love to hear from you.

Tend to our gardens

If you are a passionate gardener and have some spare time on your hands, we can do with your help. Any assistance will be beneficial, from weeding to watering, or training a group of youth to grow a successful vegetable garden, your help will be welcome.

Help at the Homework Centre

We are looking for people to assist in teaching and inspiring our youth. There are several areas that we focus on, including Mathematics and English as well as the Arts, including Dance, Drama, Music and Art. Please let us know if you can assist in any of these areas.

I definitely recommend getting involved in blue. There's a lot of different types of things that you can can get involved in. It's not one trick. There is dance, there is art…there's a whole lot of programmes that don't only cater to a certain type of people, they cater to all types of people.
